take no hostages, let it rip…..

the bridge between yesterday and today has been crossed
the bridge between yesterday and today
has been crossed.
the journey continues
into new places and new surroundings,
yet with familiar faces.
the journey to who we are
is mapped out with experience and adventure,
positive
and not so.
each showing us just a bit more
of who we are,
who we want to be,
and
who we don’t.
i thank you for joining me here,
in this space,
as i begin to exhibit pieces of the world
i have seen,
both within
and
without.
may your journey be filled
with sparks of inspiration
that lead you to follow your own inner light,
so that together we may
illumine the world.
welcome to fall
the end of summer is here
the season of the heart and of the small intestines
the season of going out on a limb
and
giving fruit
has come and nearly gone
the season to expand beyond current limitations
of exploring boundaries
going on adventures
is wrapping up
leading us into late summer
the season of
spleen, pancreas, and stomach
seasonal transitions
bring about changes
within us
that can at times be difficult
to come to terms with
we wish to continue the energy
of
adventure and external exploration
the delightful fancy of
“feeling other people’s butts”
that the warm and energetic
vibrations of summer afford
but now
we move into late summer
into fall
now begins the season of turning in
this transition made easier
with a simple essay
that each of us
has had to write
at some point
along the path
“what i did for my summer vacation”
better yet
“what i learned from my summer-time explorations.”
the quality of light begins to change
the quality of air begins to change
the winds blow in
and
with that
a time ripe
for digesting
what has come and gone
in ayurveda
“ama”
is said
to be
the cause
of most
dis-ease
if not
all
dis-ease
“ama”
is the undigested
stuff that we carry within us
undigested food
undigested thoughts
undigested emotions
undigested experiences
think baggage
who knows how old
or
for how long
we have been holding
on to these issues in our tissues
as undigested festering wounds
within us
that bring about
the environment
that breeds illness
time to let go
time to do as the trees do
drop those leaves
let go of the
unnecessary
the superfluous
as we move into
a period of looking within
simple breathing exercises
such as
alternate nostril breathing
help
placing
a medicine ball on the gut
helps
laying over a ball instead
helps
twists help
pro-biotics
which when taken in sufficient quantities
re-establish healthy flora
in the gut
that begin to
digest
assimilate
the life giving components
of
our
thoughts
emotions
experiences
and
food
while
eliminating
the refuse
passing it on
creating an environment
that is
conducive to
and
encouraging to
health.
so i encourage you
to watch the changes
as they begin
to come and to release.
